Zabu encountered a young boy named Kevin Plunder as he was about to be attacked by a group of Guy-Apes. Zabu saved Kevin, and The 2 grew to become companions. Zabu protected the boy as he grew to adulthood, and ultimately took on the title Ka-Zar, which means "Son on the Tiger". Zabu was brought to in close proximity to-human intelligence because o
